you basically start each mission alone, but you run to the units you want to control(if you have the book for that type of unit) and press X, you then have control of that unit and can lead them wherever. each class of weapon and unit is strong/weak to another. there is calvary, swords, spears, axes, clubs, archery, mounted archery, daggers.and so forth, and seems like most classes have different levels of each. the way it works is basically you get books which give you access to certain types of units. its kinda like kessen but you control a mercenary in 3rd person, in which you run around with your units in 3rd person. i thought II was better then I, so i would imagine III is better then II.īladestorm is allright so far, im still trying to get use to it. I still havnt played Kessen III, i wonder if its got same characters as II. Sorry for the rambling with a game that most people thought was average.but im bored at work and i realy enjoy the game lol pretty good so far if its your cup of tea, its deffenitely more in depth. im on battle 6 for Lui Bie(spelled wrong i know) and havnt lost one yet, but its taken some big micro-management of my units, you pretty much have to dissobey everyones orders from the get go, because the game expects you to do them and it puts you in tough situations if you follow those paths.ītw, i just got Bladestorm, Koeis new game that is like Kessen. my goal this playthrough is to go through every mission without losing 1 unit. so far in almost every mission, i have had to retreat and try to regroup 1 of my units because they get over powered or flanked/sandwhiched. I forgot how hard the game can be at times if your not carefull. and i realy like the gameplay and how when you cast magic they jump off their horse and hover above the battlefield chanting. the story is realy great, and even better if you play all the way through on Cao Cao's side. I enjoy story, and this game has a lot of it, with CG movies pretty much after every mission. Anyone else played or enjoyed Kessen? i just started my 2nd play through of Kessen II and i forgot how much i enjoyed the game.
